Tasks
- Managing, maintaining, and optimising the infrastructure of internal and external IT rooms and data centers across Europe
- Installing, configuring, and decommissioning hardware to meet company standards and operational requirements
- Ensuring accuracy when documenting infrastructure changes and updating records in the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools
- Collaborating with internal teams and supervising external providers for maintenance, system integration, deployment, and issue resolution
- Driving activities to implement infrastructure initiatives across various European locations
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in IT, electrical engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure and systems
- At least 3 years of proven experience in a Data Center Specialist or similar role, with hands-on expertise in infrastructure management
- Basic to intermediate networking knowledge (e.g., VLANs, IP addressing, network troubleshooting) is advantageous
- Familiarity with CMDB, DCIM tools, and asset management practices
- Experience with ServiceNow or other IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
- Hands-on experience with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Experience with automation and scripting for infrastructure management
- Database knowledge and experience with data analysis or reporting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Willingness to travel within Europe as needed
- Fluent in English, German would be beneficial
- ITIL Certification
